This 30-minute module gives staff and volunteers in Australian not-for-profit organisations the practical skills to recognise, prevent, and report the cyber threats most likely to affect their day-to-day work.
You will learn how to spot social engineering and phishing attempts, protect your accounts with strong passphrases and multi-factor authentication, secure your physical workspace, and respond quickly when something goes wrong.
The module covers five chapters: why NFPs are targeted, social engineering and business email scams, secure authentication, physical security, and incident reporting. It includes scenario-based activities, an inbox challenge, and a final assessment with an 80% pass mark.
By the end, you will be confident in your role as the Human Firewall: the most effective safeguard against the threats that get past our technology.
