About the presenters

Nonprofits are a critical part of societal infrastructure, strengthening communities and serving vulnerable populations in times of need. Though the impact these organisations make is significant, nonprofits are at risk. According to TechSoup, while 75% of nonprofits recognize the value of technology, only 25% have a defined digital strategy.

When it comes to security, safeguarding the sensitive data of members, donors, and communities served can be a huge challenge.

  • Attackers know nonprofits often lack the resources to mitigate or counteract cyberattacks, making these organisations a prime target. According to NetHope’s 2024 State of Humanitarian and Development Cybersecurity Report, 65% of nonprofit members surveyed reported experiencing a security breach in the preceding 12 months.

  • Okta’s Nonprofits at Work report shares findings about the cyberthreat landscape. Threatinsight data from this report reveals that nonprofits are the second-most attacked industry, only behind energy, mining, oil and gas.

Through this webinar, the Okta for Nonprofits team will partner with Infoxchange to offer nonprofits a clear roadmap for strengthening their identity systems. Information provided through the webinar will be backed by real-world insights, free tools, and nonprofit-specific resources.

This webinar covers topics including:

  • The current cyberthreat landscape for nonprofits and why they are frequent targets of attack.
  • The role of digital strategy and identity system security in safeguarding sensitive data.
  • Practical steps, free tools, and nonprofit-specific resources to strengthen cybersecurity resilience.
