Description

This InfoByte is designed for not-for-profit staff across the APAC region, aiming to help you learn how to use Google’s NotebookLM to make sense of large amounts of information. Whether it’s meeting notes, research articles, or policies, you’ll explore how AI can summarise, organise, and connect your data so you can spend less time reading and more time acting.

This course is designed to teach participants:

  • Explain what NotebookLM is and how it supports nonprofits in managing, summarising, and interpreting large volumes of information.
  • Distinguish between NotebookLM and other Google AI tools (such as Gemini), and recognise when to use each one effectively.
  • Apply basic prompting techniques in NotebookLM to generate concise summaries, FAQs, and mind maps from documents, reports, and meeting notes.
  • Identify privacy and security considerations when using NotebookLM with nonprofit data, particularly the differences between Gmail and Workspace accounts.
  • Recognise how NotebookLM can reduce time spent on manual reading and reporting, freeing up more time for mission-focused work.
