"80%
of smaller organisations don’t have a roadmap in place, leading to reactive
approaches. The presence of a digital or IT plan increases staff confidence and
satisfaction with technology by 24%."
- Digital Technology in the Not-for-Profit Sector Report 2023
A digital transformation/IT strategy developed by a consultant can cost anywhere between $20,000 and $80,000 (or more) and this is not affordable for many NFPs. As we head into our eighth IT Strategy on a Plate series, Infoxchange have created an affordable methodology for creating a detailed, effective digital transformation/IT strategy for an organisation.
Through consultation and coaching, the course and its trainers will guide participants to develop a comprehensive IT strategy for their not-for-profit, which includes:
Delivery & Length
This course consists of 6 webinars running for 1.5 hours each, every fortnight, commencing in February.
Each webinar will include a comprehensive presentation, group discussion and exercises. The slides, video recordings, templates and homework will be available after each session.
We recommend having 2-4 hours in your calendar to complete the work required post sessions as a homework.
You may also need 2-3 hours meeting with your team/manager to discuss the outcomes and refine/validate the IT Strategy for your organisation.
Course Testimonials
"I like to keep myself skilled up, and I thought the course could help improve areas where our systems might have been deficient and help me with further training and support. Reza Torkman, the course trainer, was amazing at taking the time to help me understand what different terminologies mean (like blockchain). Having access to his expertise and knowledge was very important for us. I also liked the flow of the course overall. Identifying where we needed to improve was easy, but also recognising what we're already doing well in our organisation was encouraging."

“I would highly recommend any charity doing an IT strategy to get in touch with Connecting Up and TechSoup New Zealand. We had been looking at band aids and were struggling to find a long-term solution to our IT problems, but In a year’s time we will be in a totally different position. The facilitator, was amazing and went above and beyond what we could ever have expected from a private consultant. The big difference now is that we actually have a plan and are moving forward with it. Long term this will mean greater efficiencies and services and overall better support for people with Multiple Sclerosis."
Mark Blackie, Business Manager, Multiple Sclerosis Auckland
